She used a real anecdote...I love Number the Stars. She used a real anecdote in it--I mean, I don't know that it's an actual true story, but it is a real anecdote about the war, where during the King's morning ride through town, a Nazi soldier asks a boy where the bodyguards are, and the boy answers that they all are.<br /><br />There is a whole chapter dedicated to the evacuation of the Jews, and it's really interesting because you get the whole picture instead of one person's perspective.
